Ardo Drives Climate Action Through MIMOSA+, Our Approach to Regenerative Agriculture, Building Resilience and Ensuring Healthy, Affordable Food for Future Generations.

At Ardo, sustainability is not just a vision—it is embedded in our roots. With MIMOSA+ (Minimum Impact, Maximum Output, Sustainable Agriculture), we are driving the transition to regenerative agriculture by empowering farmers to regenerate soils, protect biodiversity, and build climate-resilient food systems. In the end, Ardo wants to ensure that we can still provide affordable and nutritious food to consumers for generations to come. 

Through MIMOSA+, farmers are financially rewarded for adopting proven regenerative agriculture practices such as non-ploughing to prevent soil erosion, cover cropping to protect and enrich soils, and crop diversification to build resilience and reduce input reliance, all of which contribute to reducing CO2 emissions. By tying financial incentives to clear, measurable practices and performance indicators, Ardo makes sustainable farming both accessible and economically viable for farmers, ensuring long-term benefits for people and the planet.

Farmers are not alone in this journey. They are supported by Ardo’s 68 agronomists, including 5 experts dedicated to MIMOSA+, who provide hands-on guidance tailored to regional needs. This local support ensures that best practices are effectively implemented, making regenerative agriculture practical and impactful across diverse growing regions.

In 2025, Ardo will roll-out financial incentives in France, Belgium, and the Netherlands, with plans to expand to Spain, Portugal, Austria, and the UK. To accelerate the scaling of regenerative agriculture practices, we are collaborating with agro-industrial companies, customers, and value chain partners to pool resources and provide farmers with the support they need during this critical transition. Together, we can amplify adoption of regenerative practices, strengthen local economies, and accelerate the development of a sustainable food system.

But for Ardo, sustainability is about more than farming. It is about communities and ecosystems. Beyond supporting farmers, Ardo invests in projects like the Haut-Geer nature reserve, which creates habitats for wildlife, enhances biodiversity, and protects local water resources.
