Our organization is gaining momentum and is preparing for the future with targeted investments in our systems, processes, and people. Within Supply Chain we are continuing this transformation. As a Regional Demand Planner Europe, you operate within the Group Supply Chain team, including Supply Planning, Transport & Warehousing. You report to the Group Demand Planning Manager. The primary role is to deliver the optimal demand signal to our forecast users in effort to minimize inventory cost, while maximizing service and working to continuously improve forecast metrics.

You’ll add value to this role by performing various functions including, but not limited to:  

  • Manage the demand steps of the demand planning process for your region, Europe. 
  • Develop and execute changes to the demand plan based on changes in demand, promotions and market trends. 
  • Manage forecasts where human input/validation is required in collaboration with sales. 
  • Use and maintain current demand-planning systems to create the best forecast possible using established processes. 
  • Determine and communicate forecast range, with consensus demand, potential upside opportunity and downside risk. 
  • Develop, monitor and communicate reports on changes, forecast accuracy and added value to supply chain organizations, while driving continuous improvement. 
  • Work with several stakeholders to optimize balance between market opportunity and supply network capabilities where supply constraints exist. 
  • Measure, analyze and report key process metrics and monitor adherence to key performance indicators. 
  • Work cross-functionally with sales, supply planning, customer service, sales support, procurement non-food, … to ensure cross-functional alignment and meet company objectives. 
  • Make recommendations to enhance business processes and identify opportunities to improve operational efficiencies. 

Are you someone with the following qualifications: 

  • You obtained a Bachelor/Master’s degree, preferably in an economic or commercial area. 
  • You have 3+ years of experience in consumer product forecasting, preferably within the food industry. 
  • You’re an extremely driven and dynamic person with a continuous improvement mindset who has built up experience in Demand Planning, Supply Planning, S&OP or other planning processes. Preferably within Demand Planning. 
  • You understand causes of variability and volatility and try to make the forecast as accurate as possible. 
  • You have knowledge of demand planning software. 
  • Advanced experience in Microsoft Excel skills are recommended.
  • You understand statistics with enrichment principles. 
  • You have strong communication and interpersonal skills. 
  • Stakeholder management is no stranger to you because you easily make contacts and work closely with colleagues at all levels in the organization. 
  • You are fluent in Dutch and English. Profound knowledge of French and German are a plus.
